Line work is my favorite. Color is my fa

First off, thank you for visiting my website. I really appreciate your support. My name is Julian Gooden, but in the art community I am known as “Jimmy Warhol.” When I was in elementary school I used to bring a backpack full of paints with me everyday. After school, while I waited to be picked up I would paint sitting at one of the picnic tables in the recess area. When leaving for school in the morning my mom used to say “that backpack is so heavy it’s like a ton’a bricks, your gunna hurt your back!” Even the teachers were concerned lol! Since then part of me knew I wanted to be an artist. Fast forward to today and that dream is coming true. At 32 I have been lucky enough to paint murals from Los Angeles to Brooklyn, to have collectors and support all over the world, to have partnered with large brands, and continue to grow as a person and artist. I work mostly in acrylic on canvas or paper, digital illustration, pen and ink, and murals. I do my best to live through service, gratitude, and expression. A random fact about me is I rap and love music. I also have a big fur family and love to cook. Beef short ribs anyone? in the end, I do my best to bring creativity and inspiration into people’s lives and maybe help brighten up their home or business along the way.

Thanks for being part of the movement! I appreciate you!

This is an instillation I created for Stanley Black and Decker for Mountain Dew Tour in Long Beach, California in 2017. It was my first major project with an international brand and it helped launch my professional career as an artist. Im really grateful to Leonore and the kind folks at Extreme International for bringing me in on the project and my friends that helped me pull it off. We essentially built a free-standing wall and hung 50 skates boards and I painted them as one cohesive mural. After the mural was finished the wall was disassembled and the individual skateboards were raffled off to the attendees. The best part of the whole weekend was seeing the happiness and inspiration on the faces of the kids that won some of the boards.

One of my favorite murals I’ve done so f

This was my first paying mural project I did on a public wall. It was for the property owner of a little plaza with a laundromat, a beauty salon, a liquor store, and a Mexican restaurant that actually used to be my mom's first restaurant.
