'Untitled 2" is the third painting in my Depression Series, which explores my personal journey through surviving depression and suicidal ideation. The red in the painting represents the blood and tears I’ve shed, while the daisy symbolizes both rebirth and the fragility of life. The inclusion of a Polaroid serves as a reminder that a single moment captured in time can never fully convey the entire picture. The exaggerated features reflect the deep psychological impact of depression, mirroring how I feel during these moments. Through this work, I hope to amplify the voices of those who silently struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts, and continue my advocacy for mental health.
